If Suntory whiskies are those who accumulate the highest number of gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2014 edition, the biggest competitor Nikka whiskies collects no less than 8 gold medals and 18 silver !
This year, the jury of 11 industry spirits professionals attributed blindfolded, a gold medal to Nikka whiskies following :
- From the Barrel
- Pure Malt White
- Tsuru 17 year old
- Miyagikyo 12 year old
- Yoichi 12 year old "Woody & Vanillic"
- Taketsuru Pure Malt
- Taketsuru 21 year old
- Coffey Malt
Note that if classics like From the Barrel, Tsuru 17 year old and Taketsuru 17 or 21 year old are rewarded, several new features have been honored by the jury such as the excellent Nikka Coffey Malt.
